Lost Distillery Co - Lossit Micro Batch

Whisky is a huge part of Scotland’s history and culture. Yet almost half of our distilleries have now closed, to become Lost Distilleries.

Our Archivists and Master of Whisky engage in a balance of science and art to understand how the original Whisky might have tasted and blend modern malts to breathe life back into the distillery.

A founding father of successful Islay farm distillation, is an icon of Scotch Whisky. Established from illicit origins in 1817 by influential farmer-distiller Malcolm McNeill, Lossit emerged as the finest producer of whisky on Islay in the early 19th century. Too remote and small for the industrial age, Lossit was closed in 1867 and the team went on to build other Iconic Islay brands.
